Just a couple things I wish I would of known…
Dear 20 Year Old Self,
- Quit thinking that you can plan your life, it’s a waste of your time
- Being prettier, thinner, richer, taller, and better dressed will not increase your chances of finding a husband. If he’s the right one, he will love you for exactly who you are at each and every moment.
- Wear more sunscreen. Face and tops of hands, all day, everyday.
- Don’t get zealous with tweezers, eyebrows have a weird way of growing slower and slower as you get older
- Invest in Laser Hair Removal…game changer. The sooner, the better.
- Enjoy your age each year, stop looking at the next milestone
- Drink less liquor, start to enjoy the wonderful world of wine
- Don’t forget about God when the times are good. Gratitude is POWERFUL
- Organize your photos, keep them forever
- Don’t drink out of plastic bottle, don’t eat out of plastic Tupperware
- Take the GMAT, GRE, LSAT directly after you graduate and the knowledge is still fresh
- Spend money on travel, not on clothes
- Chill out on the monogrammed stuff, you never know when your last name will change.
- Listen to your Father about the dangers of aspartame
- Start running.
- Laugh at yourself, it makes you more likable
- Take time to write and reflect about big events in your life.
- Be your biggest fan, not your worst critic
- Always take the extra car insurance when renting a car
- Being right is overrated
Just for an added bonus…Here is a photo of a 20 year old me. My now husband and I had been dating for a couple months….
